By creating an account and using Heroic, you agree to and accept the following terms of service. Please read them carefully before using the service.
Heroic synchronises your health and fitness data from various services, including Apple Health, Google Fit, Fitbit, Strava, Withings, Polar and Garmin. This data is used to create a collection of your health data on your profile and to allow you to track your progress.
To use Heroic you must create an account with your email address and a password. You may also upload a profile picture. Profile pictures are stored with Cloudinary.
Heroic retrieves your data from connected services and updates it periodically to keep your profile up to date. If you disconnect from a service, we reserve the right to delete data from that service within 90 days. Please note that deletion of data from external services is limited to what is permitted under their terms of service.
Heroic uses the error monitoring service Sentry to track and diagnose technical errors in the service. Sentry may receive your anonymised user ID in connection with error reports. This processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining a technically stable service.
By default, your profile is open to the public. However, you may choose to have a private profile where no one can see your data. If you choose private visibility, you are the only person who can see your data. Other users can see your name, profile picture and that your profile is private. Any followers or friends can see your full profile and data. Heroic administrators may, based on a legitimate interest in maintaining and ensuring the operation and security of the service, have access to your profile. We take measures to limit such access and never share your information outside Heroic.
If you connect to a workplace on Heroic, for example your employer, your data will be displayed on the workplace's aggregation page. If you have a private profile, your profile information will not be displayed in connection with your data. You will appear as an anonymous profile. If a user follows you and is also connected to the same workplace, that person may be able to see your profile information.
Heroic is responsible for handling your data securely and takes all reasonable measures to protect it. However, we cannot guarantee that no data loss will occur or that your data will not fall into the wrong hands. Heroic is not responsible for any issues with external services and their data collection.
You have the right to request that all data Heroic holds about you be deleted. Please note that this may affect the functionality of your profile and any followers or workplace data aggregations. Heroic will however take responsibility for deleting all data we hold about you to the greatest extent possible.
Heroic reserves the right to amend these terms of service at any time. Any changes will be communicated by email or via a notification when you log in to your profile, no later than 30 days before they take effect. If you do not accept the new terms, you may close your account before the changes take effect. By continuing to use Heroic after the changes have taken effect, you agree to the updated terms.
You agree to use Heroic in accordance with these terms and applicable Swedish law. The following is prohibited:
Automated data collection (scraping) or unauthorised access to the service's APIs or systems.
Impersonating another person or misusing other users' data.
Decompiling, reverse engineering or otherwise attempting to discover the source code of the service.
Using the service in a way that may damage, overload or disrupt the operation of Heroic.
Heroic is provided "as is" without warranties regarding uptime, availability or technical correctness. We strive to maintain a stable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation.
Heroic is not responsible for any issues, outages or data discrepancies caused by external services (e.g. Apple Health, Google Fit, Fitbit, Strava, Withings, Polar or Garmin) to which you are connected.
To the extent permitted by law, Heroic's liability is limited to direct damages, and never to an amount exceeding the fees you have paid for the service during the twelve months preceding the damaging event.
These terms of service are governed by and interpreted in accordance with Swedish law. Any disputes arising from these terms shall in the first instance be resolved through dialogue. If an agreement cannot be reached, the dispute shall be settled by a Swedish general court.
